9 yr old grom Tyler Gunter

Our 9 yr old grom Tyler Gunter from Newport beach, CA takes a second place at the Nssa Nationals held in Huntington Beach, CA.

Tyler Gunter needing an 8-point score got a great left in the final minutes posting a 7.15 which wasn’t enough and John Mel claimed his first National title. The Mini Grom finalists not only walked away with huge National trophies and glory but also were outfitted with custom fashion blazers designed by former National Mini Grom Champion Koa Smith. Keeping with tradition each Mini Grom finalist on the podium was decked in Koa’s line called “Little Fellas”.

Tyler is in the brown plaid blazer.

Thanks to Mostic

Just wanted to say a quick thank you to the guy over at Mostic for helping out with the image of Morgan Just last week. Still not sure if we'll make the Forever Skim deadline but Sean, Brad and photog Colin Day were all super helpful. Check 'em out at www.repavision.com

We'd like to Welcome Matt Pagan to the team

"My sponsors are Katin Clothing, Body Glove Wetsuits, Smith Optics, Jack's Surfshop, Hookup Wireless, Sanuk, DSC and Roberts Surfboards. This is my 1st full year traveling and doing some WQS events. Last year I started doing some international events halfway through the year and ended up 243 on the WQS. This year my goal is to make the top 100 and qualify for the triple crown. I'm currently rated 208 on the ASP 1 World Rating. The next contests I have on my schedule are the 4 Star WQS in Puerto Escondido Mexico and the 6 Star Prime U.S. Open in Huntington Beach, California. I have my goals set for these comps and hopefully I can keep moving my rating up! My next trip is a photo trip to Nicaragua for 10 days with Bryce-Lowe White (photographer from Palos Verdes, CA who has recently had some big spreads in Surfer and Surfing magazines) and my younger brother (Mike Pagan) who films and edits surfing."

Here are some of my highlighted accomplishments/goals:

Training Regiment:
DSC in Huntington Beach twice a week. I also work with Ian Kairns and Chris Gallagher.

2008 Accomplishments:
4th in the Cold Water Classic Oakley Pro Junior, Steamer Lane

2009 Accomplishents:
=5th in the US Open O'neil Pro Junior and made it through 3 Rounds of the Trials in the 6 Star WQS to get the highest trialist seed for the Main Event.
=17th Place 4 Star Vendee Pro Bretignolles Sur Mer, France

2010 Accomplistments (so far):
3 Round, =33rd Round of 64 at the 5 Star Volcom Pipline Pro Event
= 33rd Round of 64 at the 4 Star Vendee Pro Bretignolles Sur Mer, France
Semis at a Volcom Pro Am at C Street Ventura
Jack's Surfboards Transworld Surfing AD August 2010

Goals For This Year:
Make the top 100 and Qualify for the Triple Crown. I also want to go on some free surf trips for photos/video and to work more on fine tuning my surfing. I want to be the best I can possibly be and continue to enjoy what I get to do. I also plan on getting some clips for that Taylor Steele project, Innersection.tv.
Besides surfing, I'm in the process of starting a Clean Water Project. Our goal is to give out recycle bins/containers so people can throw their used plastic water bottles in. Then we pick up the plastic bottles and take them to the recycle center to get either 5/10 cents for them. We take that money and donate it to reliable organizations in order to build wells or help some way in keeping our ocean and water clean/accessible. We get clean water, they get clean water.

New designs almost ready to go

Here's a quick sneak peek at one of the new Teach2 series designs just in the final stages of development. X-Trak pads look and feel different than other pads because we make them ourselves here in the U.S.A. Most other pads look and feel the same because they come from the exact same factory in China. All we do is traction and we think it shows.
