We hold these truths to be self evident
In reaffirming the greatness of our nation, we understand that greatness is never a given. It must be earned. Our journey has never been one of short-cuts or settling for less. It has not been the path for the faint-hearted - for those who prefer leisure over work, or seek only the pleasures of riches and fame. Rather, it has been the risk-takers, the doers, the makers of things - some celebrated but more often men and women obscure in their labour, who have carried us up the long, rugged path towards prosperity and freedom.

SURF EXPO Jan 2009 - X-TRAK & Magma
Just want to say thanks to everyone who helped to make this years Surf Expo such a success. With the slow economy and general slump in the surf industry we all went to the show this year a little unsure of how things would shake out but after three days of talking to shops, distributors and customers things are looking good for 2009. This years Expo saw a lot less partying and shmoozing and a lot more real business, the way Surf Expo used to be. Perhaps the down turn in the economy has sobered us all a little bit and made us take what we do a little more seriously. In the face of this slower economy there was a general spirit of optimism and determination to get on with things. Whatever the reason thanks to all who turned out. In particular we'd like to thank the following for their special support:

The new traction designs keep coming
X-Trak is the only traction company that still makes our own pads here in the USA. No we don't just assemble parts from over seas. We design, test, experiment, cut, glue, machine, groove, psa, die cut, CNC route, package, advertise, distribute and over see the whole process. This allows us to put out new pads as often as we like without the problems of having to overstock chinese made product in huge quantities like our competitors. Plus we are able to take pride in the fact that these surf products we make are ours and the quality is the best in the world.
We've been doing a lot of experimenting lately with a more artistic approach to pad design as seen in the faces of the ICON Series and the new Shadow pads featured here. Look for us to get back to some more traditional designs as we get back into summer to round out our product line. We'd love to hear from you. Tell us what you'd like to see in a traction pad. Send us your ideas, drawings, sketches, photos, etc. If we use any of your ideas we'll hook you up with some free pads.

New Skim Kits From X-Trak
For Immediate Release, January 1, 2009
Rockledge, Florida…X-TRAK® and MAGMA®
Introducing all new Skim Kits from X-Trak. Like all X-Trak pads these kits are made in the U.S.A. With testing and design input from pro skimmer Morgan Just, new color combinations and the first of many new graphic patterns these pads separate themselves from the other traction options on the market. For years X-Trak has lead the way in skim and surf traction design and with this new dedicate skim kit they continue the tradition.
Starting from the tail up, the new rear pad starts at 13 ¼” x 11 ½” but the three pieces can be spread to cover any board width. All tail pads boast a 30mmm kick tail and 7mm arch. A knobby groove pattern with microdot embossed, lightweight, closed cell EVA foam finish things off.
On the front end, each kit comes with 2 combinable arch bars. Each arch bar is 13 ½” long x 2 ¼” wide by 10mm thick. Made from the same microdot embossed, light weight, closed cell EVA foam as the tail pad the arch bars are grooved horizontally and beveled around the outer edges to prevent hang-ups. The bars can be used individually or butted up back to back for a combined 26 ½” arch bar.
The kit is available in 8 color combinations: 4 solid color (black, blue, orange, green) and 4 Polka.com patterns (black/blue, black/orange, black/green, black/pink). Look for new pad outline and color combinations in the months to come. Also be sure to check out all the new products available from X-Trak and Magma at Surf Expo in January 14-17. We’ll be in booth 1063 right beside our south-east distributor RDI.
For more information about X-TRAK or MAGMA please call 321-632-6503, e-mail us at info@xtrak.com or visit us on-line at www.hyperform.com.
