Atlantic Surfing Federation Update
Good Evening Surfers, Sponsors, Families, and Friends….
SUMMER IS COMING, and I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait. Even though our winter was not too bad, I am still a “warm weather” fan, so it can’t get here fast enough for meJ
Mark your calendars!!! The NC Chapter of the Atlantic Surfing Federation is kicking off the summer with Contest #7 on Sunday, June 3rd, at Jennette’s Pier. In the event that the ESA has to run their event on Sunday, then we will just move to Hargrove Street, as they have a permit for the pier location for both days. The original dates that were scheduled were the 2nd / 3rd, but we are trying our best not to put anyone in a position of conflict, so ours will be Sunday. We are very excited, and are looking forward to a great day on the beach. There will be prizes, trophies, food, fun, and fellowship, so bring the family, invite your friends, and come spend the day on the beach with us.
ATTENTION SPONSORS:
· Barbara Noel-Graphic Design + Print http://www.facebook.com/pages/Barbara-Noel-Graphic-Design-Print/163424933709739
As we near the end of our very first season, we want to give a special thank you to you for your support, encouragement, and overwhelming generosity…..you have been beside us from the beginning, and have played a crucial role in our success, so THANK YOU so very much for believing in us, our program, and our kids….. We look forward to growing more togetherJ

We are a “family”, and if you think the ASF is awesome now, just wait…..We want you to be a “hands on” participant in the growth of YOUR organization, so that together we can make the ASF even betterJ….so don’t be shyJ, and if you would like to put your “hat” on sooner, just give me a call (252-489-8126)……my door is always open.
ONE MORE THINGJ
CONGRATULATIONS to our ASF Surfers that received slots for the USA Championships, which will be held in Huntington Beach and Trestles in late June. Invitations will be coming to you shortly from Surfing America, but we wanted to let you know how stoked we are, and that with your participation in the Atlantic Surfing Federation, you truly are TAKING SURFING TO THE NEXT LEVEL, and we are so excited for you….. NOTE: These are the Non-Prime Divisions (see competition rules www.atlanticsurfing.org ), so if you surf the Prime, or in Prime Divisions, and don’t see your name, don’t worryJ, those notifications will be coming soon from Surfing America. The new pads just keep coming. Because we make our own pads here in the USA, we don't have to wait months for our new pads to sail across the ocean in a container. We simply design a pad today and make it tomorrow. That feels pretty good.

Skim Dance Revolution Recap
From: http://alleyoopskim.blogspot.com/
On Saturday January 12 the Alley-Oop/Exile Skim Dance Revolution went off in Lauderdale-By-The-Sea. Cool weather and gray skies did not stop skimmers from all over Florida from attending the event. During the day a best trick competition and most progressive maneuver expression session drew 25 competitors of all ages to the south side of Commercial Pier to show their technical skimboarding skills. Attendees got to meet Exile pro riders Brad Domke and Jake Stinnett who were on hand to help run the event and participate in the dance competition. A nice crowd enjoyed the entertaining skim action.
That night the awards ceremony and a freestyle dance battle was held in the Alley-Oop shop parking lot. Winners from the days skim event were given their awards/prizes and everyone enjoyed an exciting head to head dance contest. The tunes were bumping and the fancy footwork was flowing! We laughed and cheered into the evening with smiles all around.
Big thanks to event sponsors: SUN BUM, NEFF, and ARUBAS for helping to make things happen. This will surely become an annual event.
