The Victoria Skimboards World Championship of Skimboarding (WCS) returns to Aliso Beach Park in Laguna Beach on Saturday, July 7 and Sunday, July 8. WCS is the longest running skimboard contest on the professional circuit and the only that offers a live broadcast of the entire event for fans to enjoy from all over the world.
July 2012 marks the 36th annual championship event. Riders from across the globe including Japan, Chile, Australia, Portugal, The Philippines, Spain and Mexico will be battling for the skimboard industry title of “World’s Best.” General Manager of Victoria Skimboards, Trigg Garner comments, “the contest has the largest international appeal of any other contest event on the professional skim circuit.” He continues, “It is great for the hometown heroes to compete in Laguna Beach, California, against the best of the best and be watched by a global online audience.”
