Frieda Zamba Promoted to National Sales Manager
Hyperform Inc., the manufacturer of X-TRAK surf accessories and MAGMA surf wax, are proud to announce the appointment of four time world, professional surfing champion Frieda Zamba-Shaw as their new U.S. national sales manager. Frieda has been the leading sale representative for the X-TRAK brand for over ten years. Her experience, commitment and extensive brand knowledge as well as her charisma and surfing ability make her the perfect fit for the new position as the two brands prepare for an exciting period of expansion of both their domestic and international markets. Frieda will oversee all domestic sales reps and help coordinate marketing efforts and seasonal product releases.
Frieda's three consecutive title wins in 1984, 1985 & 1986 followed by a fourth title in 1988 as well as six OP Pro victories firmly established her as an icon in professional surfing. Following her retirement in 1988 Frieda repped for several major labels and still continues working for Rip Curl wetsuits and her own label Zamba Surfboards.
Among the first project to be overseen by Frieda will be the 2008 summer roll out of the all new GOODS line of traction pads from X-TRAK. Working closely with CJ and Damien Hobgood, X-TRAK has completely revampe the original four GOODS designs. The new pads will feature four new CNC cut groove patterns, updated profiles and arch configurations and dynamic new color combinations. The new pads are lighter than ever and like all X-TRAK pads feature microdot embossing.
